Privacy policy

This policy explains what LASHVAULT (“we”) collects on this website and in the LASHVAULT platform, why, and what choices you have. We wrote it to be read.

1. This website

What we collect

  • Waitlist and contact forms: your name, email address, and the option you choose to describe yourself. Business name, city, and a message are optional. We record the date and time you consented to be contacted and the version of the consent text you saw.
  • Technical data: our hosting provider logs requests, including IP address and browser type, for security and to keep the site running. We use your IP address in memory to limit repeated form submissions; it is not stored with your form data.

What we do not do

  • We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this site.
  • We do not sell or rent your information.
  • We do not load third-party scripts on this site.

How we use it

To contact you about LASHVAULT’s launch and, if you wrote to us, to reply. That is the whole list.

How long we keep it

Waitlist entries are kept until launch and for twelve months after, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever is sooner.

2. The LASHVAULT platform

When the platform launches, it will handle information on behalf of the lash businesses that use it. This section describes the commitments the platform is built to.

Photos and eye landmarks

  • The virtual try-on detects eye and iris landmarks in your browser, on your own device. The photo is not sent anywhere to find your eyes, and the landmark data is discarded after a look is saved. No face template is stored.
  • A photo is stored only if you choose to save a look or your artist records a before or after photo, and only with your consent.
  • Consent to store photos for your records and consent to use them in marketing are separate choices, and either can be withdrawn.

Text messages

Appointment confirmations and reminders are sent by text only after you provide your mobile number when booking and agree to receive them. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop, or tell your artist. We do not send marketing texts without separate written consent.

Payments

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers are entered into Stripe’s secure fields and never pass through LASHVAULT servers. Stripe’s privacy policy governs its processing.

Who can see what

  • A client can see their own profile, appointments, receipts, and saved looks.
  • A lash artist’s professional notes, maps, and chair photos about a client are the artist’s private record and are not shown to the client.
  • No business on LASHVAULT can see another business’s data.

3. Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run the site and platform: web hosting, a database, an email delivery service, a text message service, and Stripe for payments. Each processes data only to provide its service to us.

4. Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Use the contact page. We will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state or national privacy law, and we will honor them.

5. Children

This site and the platform are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

6. Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, for waitlist members, email you.
